How Semicon Weekly chooses, checks and writes its news, jobs and guides.
Who we are and what we cover
Semicon Weekly explains India's semiconductor industry in simple English for ECE students, VLSI freshers and early-career engineers. We cover chip policy, fabs and packaging plants, chip companies, design and verification, events, and fresher and experienced jobs.
Where our news comes from
- We use trusted sources: government releases (such as PIB), company press releases, and established news outlets such as The Economic Times, Business Standard, The Hindu, Mint, Moneycontrol, Reuters and PTI.
- Every story links to its original source, so you can read the full report.
- We write every summary in our own words. We do not copy articles.
- We say clearly when something is a plan, a proposal or an expectation, and not yet done.
How we check jobs
- We only list real openings with a link to the employer's official post or a well-known job site.
- Each job shows the date we last checked it. Jobs not checked for 14 days show Status unconfirmed. Closed jobs are removed.
- We mark unpaid roles as Unpaid. We never list jobs that ask you to pay money to apply or to get an interview.
How we use AI tools
- We use AI tools to help find stories and jobs, draft short summaries and make our graphics. A person reviews every story and job before it goes live on the site.
- Our Interview Prep bot uses AI to score practice answers. These scores are for learning only. They are not an official company assessment.
Images
Story graphics are made by Semicon Weekly. We do not copy news photos or company logos.
Independence and paid content
- No company pays us to cover a story or to list a normal job.
- If we ever show paid content, such as a featured job or a sponsor, it will always be clearly labelled as Featured or Sponsored.
Mistakes
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. See our corrections policy.
